What Are Hot Flash Pajamas, really, anyway?

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

When I am at a conference or in front a potential customer the most frequently question asked is what are hot flash pajamas. I usually only get one minute to answer that question before the customer moves on so I can’t waste my opportunity. I focus on promoting sleep. A good nights sleep. So many of us live a fast paced life style with many obligations and demands. We need our rest. Without it, it is difficult to cope with the daily demands of life. So it is most dreadful to wake up in the middle of the night suffering from a surge of heat that wakes us up. We may have the fan on, or have the window open, and have our body is hanging over the side of the bed. But we still get the hot flash. Meanwhile, our significant other is shivering from the cold under a ton of blankets, fearful of touching the air conditioner lest we smack them up side the head with our pillows. Hot Flash Pajamas is my nickname for pajamas made from the same wicking fabric used in athletic wear but fabricated to feel like pajamas and not your husbands gym clothes. The fabric draws moisture away from your skin and dries 4X faster than cotton. Consequently, you stay cool, dry, and asleep. If I get a response to my answer, I may have a potential customer. If not, at least someone’s curiosity is satisfied and they can say, now I’ve heard it all.

Massachusetts Women’s Conference

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

I just got back from another incredible women’s conference, this time in Boston, Mass, on December 11th. Everyone was interested in my pjs thanks to the big pink signs that say HOT FLASH PAJAMAS I hang over the back of the booth. What is that? everyone asks. Even the forklift operators came over to check out our booth. Women from upstairs in the rooms overlooking the huge Boston Convention Center said they saw our signs from overhead and had to come downstairs to check us out. Some gals reported that we were the talk of the conference because no one had ever heard of hot flash pjs. We had another record day in sales, something we are most grateful for in this market environment. Thanks to my husband Richard and daughter Julianna, who flew out to Boston with me to help me at this event. When it was over, we got to enjoy the fabulous city and the great clam chowdah served everywhere.
